Hi Egg participants,

Would it be easier if we put the session power points on the discussion board? It might keep everything in one place...

More on Outcomes

When you review the actual LSTA guidelines, you'll find that they provide model outcomes that you are strongly encouraged to use. Once you have identified your target audience, you may want to look at the outcomes as you begin to think about your project.

The complete five year plan is available at: http://www.lib.az.us/lsta/images/pdf/AZ%20LSTA%20Plan%202008-2012%20fin3.pdf. If you'll scroll to page 13, you'll find a matrix that identifies outcomes we are hoping for with this five-year plan. Any of these would be great!

You may also want to look at last year's LSTA Grant Guidelines at http://www.lib.az.us/lsta/08appforms.cfm. If you'll select the links for "Centennial Experiences," "Lifespan Learning" and "Virtual Access" you'll find specific outcomes there.

If you'd like to chat about these, or just do some brainstorming, send me an e-mail at lstone@lib.az.us or call at 602-926-3469. I'm always glad to talk about potential LSTA projects.

budget worksheet
8:56 PM EST 1/28/09 as a reply to Laura Stone.
Well, I'm still plugging in numbers to the budget worksheet and things are starting to take shape. My biggest hurdle now seems to be booking my motivational speaker(s). I'd like to get a high profile speaker that will not only speak to our "teen survival" theme but also excite our audience. My concern is that I book him/her and then have to cancel if the funding doesn't work out or if the date has to change. I'll bring this up at our next meeting to get everyone's feedback.

Also, I'm sorry I missed our last meeting on January 9th. Our son Teo was born literally as you were starting the meeting, at 7:54 a.m. on January 9th. I've pasted in a link to my Flickr page so you can all see some photos of him.

Here's the link:

See you in a couple of weeks!
Congrats!

Budget worksheet

I've finished a rough draft of the budget worksheet which can be found here on Google docs (in a strange format) or I've (hopefully) attached a link to it on this post.

Look forward to talking to everyone on Friday.

Project Summary

I've attached a copy of the rough draft of our project summary. I hope it captures the essence of what we're trying to achieve without sounding too nebulous.
